2006. I was very into gargoyles and grotesques at this time. I had found a webpage about gargoyles and grotesques and in it there was some long contemplation regarding them and though I understood little of it, maybe because of that, I found it very profound and was inspired to do this piece, in which i copied the words and they were above and below this gargoyle. When I scanned this piece I at least had the presence of mind to not blindly repeat words I did not know, so I cut them out. My bad cropping job KILLS me, I think the tail was due to the paper being too big for the scanner, and the claw being cut off like that was because it overlapped with the words a bit, but it still annoys me.
